About me
My name is Zhenyong Du, and I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Lee Lab at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I obtained my Ph.D. in Evolutionary Entomology from China Agricultural University. My research focuses on the genomic mechanisms of evolution in insects and copepods, particularly during speciation, colonization, biological invasion, and rapid adaptation to environmental change.

Profession
August 2021 - Present
University of Wisconsin-Madison
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Principal Investigator: Prof. Carol Eunmi Lee

My project in Lee Lab applied comparative and population genomic methods, using the copepod Eurytemora affinis species complex as a model system, to explore rapid evolutionary responses to global changes.
Education
September 2016 - July 2021
China Agricultural University
Ph.D. Degree in Evolutionary Entomology
Supervisors: Prof. Wanzhi Cai and Prof. Hu Li
My Ph.D. project in Cai Lab concentrated on population genetics of hemipteran insects to reveal their evolutionary histories and adaptation during speciation, colonization and invasion using mitogenome and genome-wide SNPs.
